Our Current Projects

Schoolyard Learning Gardens

The Pasadena Native Plant Project has been honored to partner with local schools and PTAs on a number of projects in which we work with the students, parents, teachers and administrators to design, grow and maintain educational native plant gardens.

Urban Native Garden Project and Food Forest Pilot

We work to develop dynamic educational series working with community members in historically underserved areas of Los Angeles to implement sustainable regenerative food forests, with shade and fruit trees, vegetables and herbs, all interlaced with native plants to support pollinators and help restore the ecology of the area.

Regenerate Earthside Nature Center!

Plant Community seeks to restore the former Earthside Nature Center’s wildflower meadows, woodland paths, and pond, and add a thriving outdoor educational center and native plant nursery. We are currently appealing to lease the property from the City of Pasadena, to create a deeply valuable ecological resource for local residents.
